PHILOSOPHICAL TORNADO

A column of air with high angular velocity and transversal depth, whose lower end touches the Earth and whose upper end meets a cloud. It is the cyclonic atmospheric phenomenon of the greatest energy density on the planet, though of small extent and short duration.
